But for as good as Andy Moran was this year one man that can match him is James McCarthy, the Ballymun Kickhams player had a sensational year for Dublin after slotting into midfield and proved that he belongs in that position after a stellar final, scoring a couple of crucial points.
And that's why the pair are going to fight it out for the Player of the Year awards at the tail end of the year.
Nobody else will come close to the pair, probably. And the bookmakers' odds reflect that.
