Louth have won the 2025 Leinster Senior Football Championship, beating Meath at Croke Park by 3-14 to 1-18.
It was a replay of their infamous 2010 final, the last time a side other than Dublin had won the competition, when Meath were awarded a controversial winning goal, with Joe Sheridan clearly illegally throwing the ball into the net.
In today's topsy-turvy final, Louth went on a second-half tear and were two points up before Meath scored a late goal through Mathew Costello.
The Wee County managed to keep their composure and were rewarded with a long-range free kick, when Conall Keever was pulled down.
Man-of-the-match Sam Mulroy duly slotted for two points after 65 minutes, but it was debatable whether the free should have been awarded in the first place.
On commentary, Dessie Dolan questioned the decision, and after the game RTÉ pundit Ciarán Whelan disagreed with the call, while Tyrone legend Seán Cavanagh called it 'karma' for 2010.
