Oisín McConville “happy” no Crossmaglen player is guilty of biting

Crossmaglen joint manager Oisín McConville is confident none of his players are guilty of biting but admits such incidents are "hard to prove".

Cargin manager John Brennan sparked a controversy after the Antrim champions' 2-15 to 0-12 defeat to the Armagh outfit in the Ulster club championship when he accused a Crossmaglen player of biting Michael McCann. McConville's fellow manager John McEntee described the accusation as "ridiculous" after the game and on RTÉ Radio's Morning Ireland this morning McConville took a softer tone, but seemed satisfied his team have no case to answer.

"This kind of incident is hard to prove, it's hard to see. We are happy it didn't happen. The other thing with incidents like this, we wouldn't condone this stuff, we wouldn't have seen this before," said the 2002 All-Ireland winner. "As a management team we wouldn't condone that and as a club we wouldn't condone is and we would not like to see it happening."
