Amanda Stapleton, a 31-year-old teacher from Borrisoleigh has an inoperable brain tumour. She's the sister of Paddy Stapleton, the teak tough corner back who wore number two or number four for the Premier County for so many of those unforgettable Tipperary Kilkenny battles.
The whole GAA community, in Tipperary, in Kilkenny and further afield have rallied around the Stapleton family in recent weeks to give them a helping hand ahead of the journey that lies ahead.
Some of the best former and current hurlers will be lining out with Liam Sheedy managing the Tipperary group and DJ Carey over the Kilkenny men.
The sheer number of players getting behind the great cause shows the power of the GAA community, with over 60 hurlers set to be there in support.
