The 2017 hurling championship draw has been made.

Yes, it's a long way to go and, yes, the 2016 season is only over but we're already looking past pre-season and the league and we've all our eyes on the summer. In the hurling championship, All-Ireland champions Tipperary have a turgid road back if they want to get out of Munster again. The Premier county are draw in the quarter-final of the provincial tournament against Cork where a win would set them up with a game against Waterford in the semi-final. In Leinster, Davy Fitzgerald could get his opportunity to pit his wits against Brian Cody.
