A new year, a new manager, a new jersey design and, with all that, Tipperary will be hoping to get back to their old selves.

It's been a good January. Good pre-season games, good coaching reshuffles and mad rule changes in the football to keep the GAA appetite well-whetted and, now, it's down to serious business: new kits. The hurling in 2019 has potential to be like no other before. Consider this:

Six counties with genuine aspirations of setting a date with Liam at the end of August and factor Wexford and Waterford and Dublin into that along with a league format of a championship and you've got a hell of a 2019. Tipp are hitting it with a fresh look with a delightful change of kit for the season ahead.

A deeper blue, new sponsors in Teneo and a brand spanking new trimming in the neck line and sleeves. Whereas last season Tipp just rounded the neck with the rest of the kit, they've introduced a white trim that meets the yellow stripes for 2019 and it is fantastic. The shorts are also all changed. Tipperary have historically always had blue outlining the yellow stripes in their shorts but a bolder look has been introduced by O'Neill's with plain yellow on white.

Roscommon

Meanwhile, Roscommon have parted with their trusty pinstripes but they've come out of that brave decision okay. The design at the bottom might scare some people but it runs nicely into the shorts and the rest of the kit is a gem, like it generally is.
