Jim McGuinness and Donegal were the victors today in their All-Ireland round-robin game against Cavan, winning 3-26 to 1-13 away from home, and making up for last week's loss to Tyrone.
It also puts them top of Group 1 with each team on two points.
Elsewhere, Down beat Louth 0-25 to 0-24, to put them top of Group 3 with two wins from two.
They have had good success playing a nice brand of attacking football like Mourne teams of old, unlike the more conservative style they have adapted in recent years.
In reference to this, Tyrone legend Seán Cavanagh had a cheeky pop at fellow pundit, Eamon McGee, on The Saturday Game, slagging his Jim McGuinness coached Donegal team of the 2010s.
Cavanagh said: "You mention tradition there. The last ten years really, since you boys (Donegal) ruined it for everyone and played your defensive football, it's been hard to watch. They
"At times Down have been hard to watch. I sat and talked with a microphone that it doesn't suit the culture of Down football. I grew up in the early 90s watching the Down attacking teams, there was the Down in the 60s, they were all built on brilliant attacking football.
"Now that the game has moved back towards that style of attacking football, they seem to be playing better. It suits them as a county."
