VIDEO: Brendan Maher finds cricket a sticky wicket in teaser trailer for The Toughest Trade

It’s not as easy as it looks.

Cricket may once have been the most popular field sport in Tipperary and Kilkenny, but hurling rules now. And the stark difference between the sports has been highlighted by one of the best hurlers of the modern age in a TV show to be broadcast next month on RTE. Brendan Maher got a chance to see how easy or hard it would be to transfer his hand-eye co-ordination from one sport to another as part of this year’s AIB Toughest Trade The Tipperary captain tried out life with the Strikers, one of the most well supported teams in cricket's Big Bash League in Australia. And judging by the new trailer for the documentary released this afternoon, it looks like the half-back struggled with the speed of bowlers firing a cricket ball towards him.
