Anthony Joshua's management team have confirmed that he has agreed terms with Tyson Fury for an all-British showdown on December 3. Fury had issued a challenge to his British rival and had proposed two dates November 26 at Wembley Stadium or December 3 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium - with Joshua accepting the latter. A tweet posted by Joshua's team, 258 MGT, on Tuesday morning said: "Joshua-Fury update: 258 and can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday." https://twitter.com/258mgt/status/1569615011735027715?s=20&t=DftNFBuuS16Fly2Hh8c3lQ The statement added that the two had "agreed to halt all communication" following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last week. Fury's promoter, Frank Warren, swiftly responded to the message by confirming that the contract would be with them "very soon." https://twitter.com/frankwarren_tv/status/1569619770974019584 After years of speculation about the two meeting in the ring it seems like the biggest fight in the heavyweight division is edging closer to happening. Both fighters looked set to meet last year as they looked to negotiate an undisputed fight, but an arbitration panel demanded Fury to face Deontay Wilder for a third time. Joshua instead faced Oleksandr Usyk twice - losing on both occasions - while Fury beat Wilder and Dillian Whyte. Fury had planned to face Usyk, but with the Ukrainian not prepared to fight until next year - the Gypsy King has now turned his attention to the former Olympic champion. The 34-year-old revealed last week that he was happy to settle a 60-40 purse split in his favour, with Joshua agreeing those terms. An official announcement is expected in the future. Related links:
