Roddy was speaking to Fight Hub TV (full video below) and was very optimistic when talking about how they are approaching the fight:
"We’ve approached it the same we’ve always approached our fights," Roddy said.
"You look at the opponent, you look at the way he moves, you look at what predictable movements they have and you look to capitalise on that and it’s just figuring out what shots you’re going to apply.
"It doesn’t really change whether it’s MMA or boxing, the only difference is (that) you have less weapons in boxing. It’s trying to read the opponent, see what predictable movements they have, what they constantly do, where they go after particular shots and then put the shots in," he remarked.
Mayweather is, of course, undefeated through 49 fights with very few chinks in his armour but the striking coach was upbeat when discussing this:
"There’s always windows, nobody’s perfect. We all have openings in our game and it’s just about capitalising on those opening and no better man to do it than Conor," Roddy concluded.
The fight is due to take place in the early hours of 26 August at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
