Katie Taylor does it again with dominant showing in New York City

As it stands, it's hard to foresee a scenario in which Katie Taylor doesn't retire undefeated.

Taylor has moved to 12-0 as a professional while defending her WBA and IBF lightweight titles with little difficulty at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. The fighting pride of Bray looked nothing short of dominant as she stormed through opponent Eva Wahlstrom, with whom she was very familiar from their days as amateurs, on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs. Rocky Fielding this weekend. With two-minute rounds, it would be tricky for the hardest of hitters to put an opponent away but Taylor came close on several occasions and while the continuation of her flawless run in the paid ranks was expected by bookmakers, the perpetual perfectionist, Taylor, had holes to pick in her performance as she struggled to put Wahlstrom away. But it was a masterclass from Taylor, in truth, and she has targeted unification contests in 2019 in the hope of cementing her legacy as the most dominant female fighter of all time.
