Michael Conlan reveals his ring walk song for tonight’s homecoming fight in Belfast

"It’s going to be special!"

Michael Conlan takes on former world champion, TJ Doheny, in a huge fight at Falls Park tonight. Two years ago Conlan entered the arena to the Irish ballad 'Grace', and tonight in front of 8,000 fans, he wants to create that same electric atmosphere. They say if it's not broken then don't fix it, so the former Olympian is coming out to the same song and with the same two singers. Róisín O and Aoife Scott did such a good job last time that they will be there again, only this time they will actually be in the ring, singing it live. The Feile an Phobail Twitter account revealed the news on Thursday night.

The Belfast native is the headline event in a fight night packed with Irish fighters, including Tyrone McKenna and Sean McComb. It will be the first live boxing event with a crowd in the city, since COVID-19 caused all sporting events to be ceased back in March 2020.
