Title fight ends in farce as referee stops bout ten seconds early, saves Timothy Bradley from getting KO’d

Timothy Bradley last night fought Jessie Vargas for an interim WBO welterweight belt that Floyd Mayweather has claimed to be vacating, and the Bradley emerged victorious thanks to a unanimous points decision. Bradley dominated the fight, but Vargas has plenty of reason to feel aggrieved as the final round ended in bizarre fashion. As the clocked ticked down, Vargas finally had Bradley teetering, only for referee Pat Russell to step in between the fighters with ten seconds remaining and signal the fight was over.
