Donegal ran out 2-20 to 0-16 winners against Kerry this afternoon in their All-Ireland SFC Round 1 at Fitzgerald stadium.
It was one of the most vicious games we have seen at inter-county level in a while, with multiple heated moments, most notably at the half-time hooter which saw a skirmish, and red card for Michael Burns.
Earlier in the first half, Donegal players were livid that David Clifford was not shows a red card for an elbow on Caolan McGonalge.
And while some fans felt there was little in it, on replay, the Kerry star was fortunate not to get his marching orders.
Kerry: Shane Murphy; Evan Looney, Jason Foley, Dylan Casey; Tadhg Morley, Mike Breen, Graham O'Sullivan; Mark O'Shea, Diarmuid O'Connor; Micheál Burns, Keith Evans, Cillian Trant; Tony Brosnan, David Clifford, Dylan Geaney.
