So we do get a little excited when we see superstars from other sports wax lyrical about one of the fastest field sports on earth.
The latest example of this comes from rugby union's Fijian winger, Nemani Nadolo, the 29-year-old is currently plying his trade with Montpellier in the Top 14 alongside Cork's very own Tomás O'Leary.
It seems to be the case that O'Leary introduced him to the sport over the weekend, most likely Cork's Allianz Hurling League defeat to Dublin at Pairc Uí Rinn.

Nadolo, of course, is aware of two Cork hurlers with Fijian ancestry, the Ó'hAilpín brothers, Sean Óg, Setanta (and Aisake).
It seems that he wants to follow in their footsteps and become Cork's next hurling superstar.
He even has a club in mind, Erin's Own GAA.

Unfortunately for O'Leary, he couldn't escape some ribbing from both Simon Zebo and Nadolo himself.
Now, just think for a moment what this man could do with a hurl in his hands.

Fans rubbish Cork boss’ excuses after Munster SHC final loss

One of the main talking points following yesterday’s Munster SHC final, was the full-time whistle, which came before Cork were able to send one last puck into the Limerick box. Rebel players were clearly not pleased by this, claiming that they did not know it was the last […]

Cork boss not pleased with ‘hypocritical’ ref behaviour from Limerick manager
A bit of needle…. There was a bit of needle between Cork boss Ben O’Connor and Limerick gaffer John Kiely after today’s Munster final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. O’Connor was clearly not pleased with some of the behaviour from Kiely, and perhaps some decisions from the officials. And the Rebels manager did admit that things […]
