English GAA board aim cheeky dig at Kerry fans ahead of All-Ireland club game

Kerry folk aren't so serious that they won't see the humour in this dig at the county's support for their senior side.

Although we have a feeling that Lancashire outfit John Mitchel's could have done without the little jibe in their honour ahead of today's All-Ireland Junior club football q-final in Birmingham. Pat Spillane and many others from the Kerry village of Templenoe  traveled over on Saturday afternoon and even caught an FA cup game with dozens more making the short trip across the Irish Sea ahead of today's clash with the English side. Lancashire GAA were so impressed by the crowds at the game that they thought they'd poke a little bit of fun at Kerry fan's reputation as people who generally only turn up for All-Ireland finals in Croke Park, and not too many games before hand. It didn't end up being so funny however for the English outfit who were behind 1-5 to 0-1 at the break after Killian Spillane notched an early goal for the visitors.
