Jim McGuinness has left Beijing Sinobo Guoan

Jim McGuinness has left his role at Chinese football club Beijing Sinobo Guoan.

Former Donegal manager Jim McGuiness had been working as Roger Schmidt's assistant coach with the Chinese club since summer 2017. He was drafted in by the former Bayer Leverkusen manager last year, after spending five years was part of the coaching staff at Glasgow Celtic. McGuinness had signed a two-and-a-half year deal to work with the club, who have confirmed the early release of his contract due to  ‘personal family reasons.' In his parting statement, McGuinness thanked everyone at the club for the opportunity before hinting at a 'new chapter in Europe.'
