There will be a number of worries for Clare based on this performance, they were second-best to Cork for much of the game but whenever they were on the front foot, they failed to capitalise on a number of chances.
Nevertheless, one concern which the new established joint managers may not have is the commitment shown from their players and this couldn't be better exemplified by Clare goalkeeper, Donal Tuohy.
It's safe to say that Tuohy had a busy day last Saturday as Clare's opening league game happened to fall on the same day as his brother's wedding, according to The Clare Herald.
Tuohy was groomsman for the special day and he had to travel from the wedding in Crusheen, Co.Clare to Cork for the match and then back to Gort, Co. Galway for the reception.
Now that's commitment.
