Andy Moran came up with the goods for Ballaghaderreen at the weekend, he usually does. But this time around, there were a few debates swirling about the legitimacy of his winning score.
Ballagh looked beaten by Claremorris with the clock ticking in the Mayo senior championship on Saturday evening. Down by two points and with only seconds left, they needed something.
A last minute penalty. This was the chance. No better man than Andy Moran who by all accounts, was borderline unplayable on Saturday evening, for the big moment.
With every window in the inspecting housing estate open wide, with every breath drawn from the Ballaghaderren air, that man Moran stood calm and he slotted it low and left.
Andy punched the air. The umpire went for the green flag. Game, set and match to Ballagh.
Mark Higgins' video got everyone talking though. The ball flew to the corner and it was very difficult to tell if it was inside or outside the post. Ballagh and Moran have confirmed to SportsJOE though that the penalty was in fact a goal, with the ball passing through the back corner of the netting which had been cut off by the camera.
Andy said it was '100%' a goal. Never doubted him.

Getting straight back into it was always going to be tough for Dr Crokes who defeated Killarney Legion last time out, but the 1/14 shots came unstuck against Rathmore at the weekend.
Tony Brosnan was again on fire for Crokes but Chrissy Spiers was the hero of the day, hitting 1-4 for his club.
Elsewhere, intermediate champs Kilcummin were well beaten by Stacks while Dingle and Killarney Legion enjoyed impressive wins.

Kingpins Clonmel had a comfortable win over Arravale while the rising JK Brackens had a good win over Clonmel Óg.
The scoreline of the weekend however came in the intermediate championship, when Brackens' second team hit three goals and no points. Take your goals and the points will come is what they say in Templemore.
